Marianne Bonassi
Occupational Therapist with extensive training in mental health
Marianne Bonassi Qualifications:
I am a lecturer in occupational therapy at JCU, prior to this I was working within mental health, and in my former life I was a dental therapist. I am also undertaking my masters in mental health and am involved in ongoing mental health research and advocacy. 
I am a member of OT Australia, the Golden Key National Honors society and was the inaugural recipient of the OT Australia , Judith Trevan – Hawke Prize. I was also nominated for the schizophrenia fellowship award in 2005.

Queensland Health – Townsville Integrated Mental Health Service
I have worked within 2 roles, as the coordinator and developer of a mental health day therapy centre. Previous to this role I worked as a case manager within the Mobile Intensive Treatment Team. This was a challenging and rewarding experience and one that not only enabled me to develop my generic skill base but also instilled within me a passion and commitment to continue my advocacy and studies in the area of mental health.
Research Interests / Special Interests:
I have presented at conferences on both a state and national level on issues associated with mental health. I am currently involved in a pilot program in the use of advance directives in mental heath. I was also the co developer of the HOPE framework for service delivery in a mental health day therapy centre. I am also committed to developing a research base in the areas of both tertiary education and mental health.

Qualifications:
I have completed eight years of professional training, and sixteen years of professional experience, providing clinical and neuropsychological assessment and therapy services to people with a range of challenges, including: Depression and Bipolar disorders, including helping people with suicidal thoughts Grief and adjustment difficulties Anxiety disorders, including phobias and social anxiety Stress-related difficulties Trauma related difficulties, including post-traumatic stress disorder Self-esteem difficulties Behavioural disorders and mental health problems experienced by children and adolescents Relationship difficulties, including couples therapy and parent-child difficulties Difficulties with alcohol use and/or drug use Psychotic Illnesses Personality disorders Recovery following a brain injury

Naomi Tickle
Naomi Tickle Psychologist
Qualifications:
I am a new Psychologist to Townsville, having moved from Cairns in February, 2009. I have a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology. I then completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology. I am an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society and am fully registered as a Psychologist in Qld. I have been in private practice since 2000. I also have a strong mental health background. I have over 10 years experience as a Psychologist and have been working with GPs providing psychological services to their patients using the GP Mental Health Care Plan.

Dooreen Tracey
Dooren Tracey Psychologist
Qualifications:
I have a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and have practised in the clinical field since 1992.
Most of my experience has been with the adult Mental Health Service, Queensland Health, working in areas of assessment, consultation, psychoeducation and evidence-based therapy within the range of mental health disorders.
I held the position of acting director of Psychology Services for nearly two years before resigning from the Townsville Health District in 2004,
Since that time I have worked in Townsville as an independent clinical practitioner (part-time) and am familiar with the networks that provide support within the community.
I am a Registered Psychologist in Queensland, a member of the Australian Psychological Society and I am registered practitioner under the Medicare Mental Health Plan
